Upcycled vintage library book brought back to life and saved from the landfill. This book is hand painted a blush pink and has a pink, blue, lavender and green floral design on back and front cover and spine.  Hexes for Exes is hand painted in blue on the front cover and Hex the Ex is painted in blue spine.  Hand torn mauve chiffon ribbon is attached the front and back cover and can be tied into a bow to close the book.  The edges of the pages are sprayed in a light cerulean blue. On the inside, beautiful vintage wallpaper has been used to embellish the front and back endpapers.  The design of the wallpaper is a pale pink with delicate daisies and a posy of pink, blue and white flowers. The library card pocket is visible for aesthetic purposes and is embellished with floral stickers.  An unused reproduction library card slips down into the library card pocket. The book inside is an actual novel and can be read.  This book is entitled the King is Dead by Ellery Queen. Published in 1952 by Little, Brown and Co. This is a first edition. The final page of the book has a coordinating wallpaper.  The back endpapers have matching floral wallpaper as well.  I have endeavored to cover up or remove all markings to the best of my ability.  This book is a lovely piece to have in your home either as decor or as part of your book collection.
