Harvest Romance Sunset Floral 3 Book Barton Cottage Set

In medieval times, the end of September brought with it the Harvest festival signaling the last of crops being harvested for the winter season.  The Harvest festival was a time of dancing, drinking, eating and love.  I wanted to bring the joy and beauty of a successful harvest season to your home and book collection with these Harvest Romance Barton Cottage sets.  These sets feature traditional fall and harvest colors of coffee, wheat, navy, pumpkin, taupe and sage.  

This set features two very scarce and hart to find editions.  Two books are a vibrant red and the middle book is white with and aged spine.  It features beautiful florals on the front in autumn colors.  The set is double wrapped in vintage embroidered lace and hand torn ribbon featuring a wine color vintage rose floral pattern.  Tucked behind the bow are springs of wheat and baby's breath.

The Story of One Hundred Symphonic Favorites.  Pocket book bound in red cloth.  Published by Grosset & Dunlap 1940.

Romola published by Hurst and Co. The series that this edition comes from is almost impossibly to find these days.  I happen across one a year maybe.  This is a lovely book for any collector. Undated c 1900.

Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Published by Derby, 1856.  Bound in blind stamped red cloth. Gold gilt leaf detail down the spine.  Gilt in remarkable condition for the age of the book.
