Harvest Romance Lily Series 3 Book Barton Cottage Set
Harvest Romance Lily Series 3 Book Barton Cottage Set
In medieval times, the end of September brought with it the Harvest festival signaling the last of crops being harvested for the winter season. The Harvest festival was a time of dancing, drinking, eating and love. I wanted to bring the joy and beauty of a successful harvest season to your home and book collection with these Harvest Romance Barton Cottage sets. These sets feature traditional fall and harvest colors of coffee, wheat, navy, pumpkin, taupe and sage.
This set includes three navy and coffee colored books including a scarce and hard to find Lily series edition. This set comes wrapped in beautiful scalloped vintage lace so as not to obstruct the stunning cover design of the first book. Long tails hang from the bow made of hand torn lace with a wine colored vintage rose pattern. Tucked into the back are sprigs of wheat with a dried rose and a spring of blue berries.
Books include:
Daisy. Dark Coffee colored cloth binding with a silver gilt Lily of the Valley design on the front and spine. Gold gilt titles. Published by Ward, Lock and Co c1870. Overall good condition for age. Some bumping and rubbing to spine and corners. Minimal flaking to cover and spine. Inscription on inside front cover and first chapter page. Otherwise pages appear clean. Binding tight. Good example for this edition.
