Harvest Romance Green, Gold and Coffee 3 book Barton Cottage Set

In medieval times, the end of September brought with it the Harvest festival signaling the last of crops being harvested for the winter season.  The Harvest festival was a time of dancing, drinking, eating and love.  I wanted to bring the joy and beauty of a successful harvest season to your home and book collection with these Harvest Romance Barton Cottage sets.   These sets feature traditional fall and harvest colors of coffee, wheat, navy, pumpkin, taupe and sage.  

This set features lovely golden pocket sized editions including several that are quite difficult to come by.  The set is wrapped in vintage scalloped lace and tied in a bow.  Tails of lace hang from the bow along with another set of tails made with hand torn ribbon featuring a dark pink vintage rose floral pattern. Tucked inside the bow is a small arrangement of dried babies breath, a spray rose and a blue berry.

Fables by La Fontaine.  Bound in ornate green and copper.  Scarce and hard to find edition. Published by HM Caldwell. Undated c1890.  Numerous illustrations throughout. 

Lowell's Poems in coffee with black detail.  Undated c1900.

The Prince in the House of David.  Published by HM Caldwell. Undated c1900. Religious book featuring many illustrations from the Bible.
