Harvest Romance 3 book Barton Cottage Set with Pictorial Covers

In medieval times, the end of September brought with it the Harvest festival signaling the last of crops being harvested for the winter season.  The Harvest festival was a time of dancing, drinking, eating and love.  I wanted to bring the joy and beauty of a successful harvest season to your home and book collection with these Harvest Romance Barton Cottage sets.   These sets feature traditional fall and harvest colors of coffee, wheat, navy, pumpkin, taupe and sage.  

Each book from this set is graced with a pictorial cover featuring lovely harvest colors.  The books are tied together with a beautiful vintage scalloped lace tied in a bow.  Long tails hang from the bow of hand torn ribbon in a vintage style floral patter.  Tucked behind the bow are springs of wheat and two wooden daisies. 

Set includes:

Esther's Fortune. Published in 1888 or 1889 by Porter & Coates. Presumably first edition. Features and girl in a red coat and tricorn hat on the front cover.  Lovely trees and bows grace the front cover around her.  Beautifully illustrated frontispiece.

By Sheer Pluck by G.A. Henty. Scarce and hard to find edition. Pictorial cover bound in blue cloth featuring a soldier with floral striped down the front cover and spine. Published by A.L. Burt.  Undated c1890; inscribed 1899.

Benjamin Holbeck.  Pictorial cover bound in cloth that has faded to an almost salmon pink.  Illustration of two soldiers on the front cover. Published by the Sunday School Union.  Undated c1910.  Gifted as a prize in 1919. Profusely illustrated.

All three of these books are scarce and hard to find editions. Book condition will vary. Please note that Barton Cottage sets are meant to be shabby chic and will not be in pristine condition. These are vintage items and will show their age.
