Harvest Romance 3 book floral Barton Cottage Set in Sage and Pumpkin

In medieval times, the end of September brought with it the Harvest festival signaling the last of crops being harvested for the winter season.  The Harvest festival was a time of dancing, drinking, eating and love.  I wanted to bring the joy and beauty of a successful harvest season to your home and book collection with these Harvest Romance Barton Cottage sets.   These sets feature traditional fall and harvest colors of coffee, wheat, navy, pumpkin, taupe and sage.  

Have you seen the florals on this set??? Wow!! What a gorgeous set.  Each book has floral embellishment on both cover and spine in sage green, purple, reds and pumpkin. The set is bound together in scalloped lace tied in a bow.  Springs of wheat and blue berries are tucked in behind the bow. 

This set includes:

The Battle of the Books by Jonathan Swift. This edition has muted red florals twining down the spine with a vine and leaves of gold gilt on green cloth. Yellow and purple pansies embellish the front and back covers. Published by Lupton. Undated c1900.

Plutarch's Lives. This rare and hard to find edition is bound in cloth the color of pumpkins and embellished on cover and spine with red and white roses with gold detail.  Gold butterflies flit across each corner of the front cover. Undated c1900.

The Reveries of a Bachelor bound in sage green cloth with a red and gold poppy design on the front cover.  A red poppy design is also featured on the spine which is sage green cloth and has hints of gold. Published by Henry Altemus.  Undated c1890. Illustrated.
