Apple Orchard 3 Book Barton Cottage Set

Two rare and hard to find books are included in this set. Evangeline by Longfellow with a lovely red and green ornate cover.  St. Elmo that has a lovely Victorian lady on the cover with holly in her hair.  Bound in deep green cloth it it is a lovely offset to the first of Evangeline in the front.  Finishing off the set is a schoolbook in scarce and hard to find condition with a dark wine spine.  The school book is illustrated throughout with the loveliest pastel maps of the United States. Wrapped in a soft silky hand torn ribbon featuring a vintage style floral pattern of roses.  Tucked in to the bow is a spring of dried greenery that matched the deep tones of St. Elmo perfectly. The set includes:

St. Elmo by Augusta J Evans. Bound in green cloth with pictorial cover of Victorian woman with holly in her hair. Published by Hurst and Co. Undated c1900.  Inscribed 1909.

School History of the United States. 1893.  I have not seen another one of these for sale in this kind of stellar condition.  Profusely illustrated and with maps and other documents throughout the book including beautiful pastel maps. This is truly a great memento for a lover of US History.
