Patience Daughter of the Mayflower by Elizabeth Champney with floral garland cover

I always hesitate to use the word rare when it comes to vintage books. It seems so subjective. What is rare? Someone might think a cover style is rare because they have never seen it before and yet I have 50 sitting on my kitchen table. Therefore, maybe the cover is just scarce.  But for this one, I will make an exception. These cover designs are actually quite rare and difficult to find. I believe mainly owing to the fact that it seems not many titles were published in this design and it was not done for an author that has stood the test of time like Louisa May Alcott or LT Meade. I have searched high and low for these and can count the number I have had on one hand. So don’t miss out because it’s a beauty every nerdy LoveShackFancy girl needs in her collection with its lovely floral garland design and pastel color palette. 1899. First edition. Cover in very good shape. Some minor fading and rubbing to spine. Front hinge cracked. Binding intact. Pages clean and bright. Illustrated throughout. Very good condition. Please note that this is a vintage item and will show its age.
